Do I need council approval to remove a tree in Tamworth?
Tamworth Regional Council does not currently have a tree preservation order covering trees on residential property, but street trees, including trees on your nature strip, can't be pruned or removed without approval. Rules differ between councils, and Armidale has a preservation order covering public and private trees. Ask us and we can help you check.
Can you remove trees close to houses or fences?
